Why in the hell must they always screw with the keyboard layout?
I mean, what is wrong with: INS HOME PGUP DEL END PGDN At least they got rid of those stupid minature arrow keys, that was far worse than tampering with the INS key. -d |

| Personally, I'm glad they moved the Insert key away from the Delete key! I always hit it accidentally when I tap Delete... I'm sure I'm not the only person! ;-) |

| When I first looked at I agree with you Daz however I think that this could be much better. Left right for start finish and up down for page up and page down. I can live with it. |

Don't like the fixed names on some keys e.g. would prefer "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" instead of "My Pictures". How many people access pics. in an office?
Are these available for PS/2 and USB? I read recently about a wireless Bluetooth Micro$oft keyboard due out. These are prob. the same but diff. interfaces. USB OK if you don't use Windows 95, DOS or any other OS that doesn't support USB. Apart from some key name changes these keyboards look the same as the old models to me or am I being short-sighted? Insert is there, but it's on the Prt Screen button. Weird. This is similar to the ergonomic 'non split-gimmick' Office keyboard, but in that case there are Cut/Copy/Paste keys on the left side next to the scroll wheel.
Very weird. I wish they'd put that scroll wheel on more of their keyboards, as that's the best idea they've had yet! |

#20 Yes, IBM keyboards are very good. I've never had a better one since the days when I programmed an original IBM PC with 8088 proc, 20MB HD, 4-colour CGA. Those were the days.

| In the new hardware releases will the BlueTooth Keyboard and mouse be released? Does anyone know about them? Would there be a problem with having mutible bluetooth keyboards, mice within a few feet of one another on seperate computers? How would that work in an office envoroment? |

You guys that worry about office enviroment, give me a break. For too long the PC industry has catered to the OFFICE, and not the Home user. Many of us even work at home, and they call that the SOHO user. I remember when IBM said, "People don't need color on their computers to do spreadsheets." Not everyone that has a computer does spreadsheets. And remember the dumb sounds in the first computer games? It wasn't until the advent of the soundcard that we had decent sound.
Of course if you are on the job, you shouldn't be playing games, and emailing your family with your latest picts, etc... Unless of course, you work at home, and are your own boss. <g> |
