XBD: When it comes to developing new tactical strategies, consoles are often overlooked . What about Commandos 2 makes you feel that the transition is warranted?
Jon Beltran de Heredia: Even though we had consoles gameplay in mind from the initial stages of design of Commandos 2, we were still surprised when actually playing it. The game lent itself nicely to the console control, controlling each character directly to perform most actions and being able to move around groups of men and perform common actions with them. But not only that, the control method turned out to give a much more immersive feeling to the game. On the PC, you click on the destination and watch you men move there, but on the console you actually control them each step of the way. This creates more tension and makes the player feel more "in there". This was a big plus, as immersiveness was the main goal for Commandos 2 from the beginning. I think that players will appreciate this.
