RPGVault have posted up a Q&A session with AC2 team talking about the considerations in making the sequel, what core features and strengths that they carried over from AC1 and much more. Here is a sample of it below:
Jonric: What are the main features of the combat system, and how important will combat be? And what kinds of non-combat activities will there be?
AC2 Team: Combat is of critical importance and a primary activity for most players. Therefore we have put a great deal of effort into making combat as much fun as possible. The system is very interactive, rewarding players who are able to observe their opponent's weaknesses and use the correct skill to exploit an opening. Good fighters will even be able to chain together combinations of special moves, though they'll need to keep an eye on their Vigor stat, which fuels one's special combat maneuvers and magic.
