Its all about market share. If Linux/UNIX was on every desktop sold, they headline would be different. All that was being said was that as consumer OS's mature to Windows 2000 or more likely, Windows XP, it will make DDoS attacks more wide spread. This is because older stacks (from Win9X and NT) didn't have the functionality that W2K and WXP have. I dont blame MS, and I disagree that they should do anything about it. I just recommend at the very least, putting ZoneAlarm and a good Anti-Virus program on your PC. Oh, yeah, and I agree that SG is dramatic, but thats whats cool about him, he just envelopes himself in something, and usually writes a pretty cool piece of software for it.
