It is going to be another busy week here at ActiveWin what with the release of Office XP in to the stores across the world on Wednesday, so what do we have coming up for you all?. Well tomorrow night we will post our review of the gold version of Office XP with FrontPage, then later in the week we have our first glimpse of our new server going online with forums, new enhanced comments, user profiles, chats and much, much more. | ||

| The only piece of Office that I use at home is Frontpage and Outlook. I'm curious to see what the upgrade prices are for these. Outlook has historically been free. Or at least I've found it included in Exchange server trials, etc. Frontpage was $40 the last time I upgrade from 97 to 2000. If it's more than that this time, I may look at other software. |

| Ok... I checked and OfficeXP was in one of our recent MSDN packages. So out of curiousity I installed it. I didn't activate it though, as I wanted to see what that would do. Well, as far as FrontPage XP is concerned, I see nothing very different from FrontPage 2000. 2k was a big leap over FP97 and worth the upgrade price. The only thing I'm seeing here with FPXP is some new webbots which I don't use anyway. I am also very disappointed that the stupid paperclip popped up by default, once again. I had thought they finally eliminated this? But it appears that it's the same as Office 2000 in that you just have the option of making him go away permanently. I remain completely unimpressed. |

| This was a clean install on my XP Beta test machine. I just accepted the defaults. |
