Wise Solutions on Wednesday released a new version of its installer product that includes support for Microsoft's .NET Web services technologies. The new version 4.2 of Wise for Windows Installer and Wise for Visual Studio .NET products provides developers with tools for creating and customization software installations for those platforms. While installers are common in the traditional app world, the Wise platform is one of the first to specifically target the emerging world of Web services. Successfully deploying Web services and Web applications requires sophisticated tools to handle the installation, configuration and frequent updates of these applications. | ||
