The Offspring are scaling new heights literally, in their new long-form DVD/video Huck It!, produced and directed by Paul Cobb, which goes on sale this week. Cobb followed the So Cal punk band around for two months, catching them in the act of being themselves, backstage and when the were relaxing, if you can call it that.
Dexter Holland, Noodles, Greg K and Ron Welty led Cobb on a merry chase while they fought towering surf, snowboarded, jumped from planes, and pummeled golf balls in what their reps are calling "fifty-five minutes of nail-biting, vertigo-inducing daredevilry."
As if that weren't entertainment enough, the video also features live performances of the band including takes on "L.A.P.D," "All I Want," "Staring at the Sun" and "Gone Away."
The DVD edition of the film includes some frills and bonuses not available on the VHS version, including a live version of "The Kids Aren't Alright," a segment dubbed "Meet the Crew," and a number of outtakes.
