Microsoft announces Windows 10 will feature biometric security | |

Among the new features set to come with the release of the anticipated Windows 10 operating system, users can now look forward to new authentication protocols. In an effort to help them transition away from passwords, Windows 10 will support the Fast Identification Online (FIDO) security system by using biometric authentication, according to a blog post by Dustin Ingalls, group program manager at Microsoft. After submitting design specifications to the FIDO Alliance that are to be “incorporated within the FIDO 2.0 Technical Specifications,” the upcoming version of Windows will be featuring the latest inputs. | ||
