Microsoft's Windows Phone enjoys strong growth in Europe | |

Windows Phone accounted for 9.2pc of sales in the five largest European markets in the three months to the end of August, according to the industry research firm Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. Although it still lags far behind Google Android on 70.1pc and Apple iOS on 16.1pc, Microsoft’s is the fastest growing software. This time last year it accounted for only 5.1pc of European smartphone sales. In Britain it has made even better progress. Windows Phone took a 12pc share of sales during the period, compared to 4.5pc last year. | ||
