Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced that it will be cutting the price of its market beating 32 Bit games console, the PS oneTM. The new price point will come into effect on Friday 17th May. Since its debut in December of 1994, PlayStationTM has achieved cumulative shipments of 89.69 million units by March 31st, 2002 - making it the most popular game console in the world. This figure includes 15.29 million of the PS one, the newly redesigned PlayStation that was launched on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the machine’s launch, on September 29th 2000. | ||
