XBox2k have posted a Review of the EA Sports game, Fifa World Cup 2002. They gave it a final score of 4.14/5. Here is part of the review:
Also well-known is the great gameplay. First of all I was a little disappointed that there were only 2 modes of play. However in the game, gameplay is extremely lifelike. Like I said, the default speed setting may seem kind of slow but you can kick it up on the options screen. Controls are pretty well laid out. A power meter and a height meter also come in handy while shooting and lobbing a cross to a teammate. Unlike other versions, you can aim your shot by simply moving the joystick. Formation are easy to customize down to the runs that players make and when they attack. You can set your style of play such as counter attack. Substitution is also easy. Controls can be complex at times if you are trying to go for step overs and juggling. A great new feature is instead of the computer controlling when the keeper comes out to attack the opposing player, you can press a button; it's all about working with your defense, and timing.
