If you're a PlayStation 2 owner, the chances are you've been gagging for Final Fantasy X. Square's epic role-player has been out in Japan for around a year, surfacing in America last Christmas. Europe gets final dibs, with the title hitting shelves on May 31. Final code landed on our desks today. The rumours were true: there is no 60Hz display mode. We couldn't quite believe it either. Talk emerged recently suggesting that Square wouldn't include the extra, but we simply assumed that there was no way a slowed-down version of the company's masterpiece would release with huge borders. Shockingly, that's exactly what's happened. Before you leap off the nearest bridge, there is a very good reason why no 60Hz mode has been included. As you know, Final Fantasy X is very heavy on some seriously beautiful cut scenes. Looks as though the game's good looks were a double edged sword.
