Arbitration proceedings between graphics chip maker Nvidia Corp and Microsoft Corp over a chip Nvidia makes for the Xbox video game console could take as long as six months, an Nvidia executive said on Wednesday. Nvidia says it has been forced into binding arbitration by Microsoft over the price of a custom graphics processor for the game console and the volumes in which Nvidia produces the chip. The arbitration process could be as short as two months or as long as six months, Mike Hara, Nvidia's vice president for investor relations, said at a Merrill Lynch-hosted technology conference in San Francisco.
