As with most things I start, things got out of hand. This began as an exercise to build a Windows 7 system. This wasn't simply going to be a rig to run the Windows 7 beta on; I have a test system with the latest Windows 7 beta running already. Rather, this was going to be the system that would replace my current production system. This is the first of a series of articles on building this system; I plan on writing it as a diary of sorts, with installments running at least once a week, if not more often. Most of the installments will be part of our Lab Note section, at the top of the ExtremeTech home page. I want to go into as much detail as possible during each step of the build. At the end, we'll be able to assemble all the parts into a giant how-to on building a PC. | ||
