Joe Wilcox: Several Microsoft Watch commenters have asked about the Microsoft Tax. Yes, there is one, or so I say. Actually there are several worth calling out as global economies weaken and IT organizations pull back technology spending. But any tax, whether from Apple or Microsoft, is one of perception, too. Some people spend more on a Mac because they see more value there. The previous post looked at how Microsoft offers value to enterprises. There's a case to be made there. But looked at another way, perceived differently, there are several Microsoft taxes. | ||
