Microsoft Corp Chairman Bill Gates sparred on Tuesday with an attorney for nine states suing the software giant, insisting that proposed antitrust sanctions would obstruct improvements to the Windows operating system. In his second day on the witness stand, Gates and attorney Steve Kuney debated parts of the states' proposals that would require Microsoft to support older versions of its Windows operating system and prevent Microsoft from retaliating against uncooperative software companies. | ||
