Microsoft sits on Kerberos' Executive Advisory Board, but in this case, its one giant among many. Redmond shares the board with Apple, Google, MIT itself, and Sun Microsystems. Other founders include the Department of Defense (DoD), Carnegie Mellon University, Duke University, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, NASA, and Stanford University. The simultaneous involvement of so many companies and universities make it highly unlikely, if not downright impossible, for any one company to twist the standard to suit its won purpose, as Microsoft was accused of doing in 2000 | ||
