Xbox 360 rocks music sales with Guitar Hero III | |

While the record industry seems to think most of us are pirating music without a care for record labels’ bank balances, legal music downloads for bands starring in Guitar Hero III have enjoyed a sharp rise in sales since the game’s launch in the US. Groups given a little extra cash for the Christmas shopping by RedOctane’s sure-fire hit include Sonic Youth and Slipknot. The Strokes track Reptilia, which is also featured in the game, had an 127% increase in sales in the first week of Guitar Hero III's release, which got stateside gamers strumming plastic axes on the 28th of October. | ||
