Xbox 360 price drop gives console a 260% sales boost | |

ChartTrack data indicates that the recent price reduction on the Xbox 360 and the release of the Elite lead to increased sales. MCV reports that Microsoft is celebrating a huge rise in sales of the Xbox 360. Following the price reduction across the entire Xbox 360 family and the launch of the Elite, Chart Track data indicates a massive 260% rise in UK sales. Sales of the Xbox 360 also managed to remain high the following week, only falling by 20%. With a price cut already in place, Microsoft is now on course for a bumper end to the year thanks to the imminent launch of Halo 3 and a host of other high profile titles including Project Gotham Racing 4 and Mass Effect. | ||
