Misconfigured Spam Mailer Kills Hotmail Accounts | |

Someone in China decided to send some spam to a few folks - but they misconfigured their emailer. We received this screenshot from a reader this morning. She was sent the same spam email 330 times, which put her free Hotmail account over the 2.5mb limit and was shut down automatically. The spammer plugs a "strong buy recommendation" for a company labelled CBYI, which has apparently filed to be listed on the OBTCC. The sender of the email claims to be ioitjb@katamail.com, with a reply-to address of honey9531@mail.net.cn. We do, of course, encourage angry responses from our readers. | ||
