HomeAdvisor Technologies Inc. today announced that the HomeAdvisor.com™ online house and home-buying guide has been named the nation's Best Online Home-Buying Site for the third consecutive quarter, according to the Gomez Winter 2000 Internet Home-Buying Scorecard, thus continuing to set the standard for the entire online real estate category. The rankings are based on an independent evaluation of the top 20 online real estate Web sites, using more than 150 specific criteria. HomeAdvisor.com is the only real estate site to receive the highest ranking on three consecutive scorecards in the Online Home-Buying category.
Leading the industry with an overall ranking of 6.75 (10 being the highest ranking), HomeAdvisor.com outpaced all other sites, including Homestore.com (6.55) and zipRealty.com (6.12), which rounded out the top three. Gomez praised HomeAdvisor.com's innovative mortgage technology, developed by its parent company, HomeAdvisor Technologies, saying it is the "only site to offer real-time, risk-based pricing, rate locks and instant approvals in an integrated, robust offering for borrowers." In addition, Gomez cited the HomeAdvisor.com "Compare Cities" feature and "Cost-of-Living Analysis" tools as contributing factors in bestowing its award on the site.
