A would-be competitor to Microsoft Corp. has done too little to help itself, an attorney for Microsoft indicated through her questions in court Monday.
Red Hat Inc., a distributor of the competing Linux operating system, has invested little to either develop applications that would run on Linux or to make third-party applications work, argued Microsoft attorney Stephanie Wheeler.
"Didn't Microsoft 's own investment in applications contribute to Windows' success," she asked Michael Tiemann, Red Hat's chief technology operator.
