DigiTimes has today suggested that Microsoft's HD-DVD peripheral for the Xbox 360 will launch at $200 (£105), making it a highly competitive entry into the next-generation DVD stakes and theoretically a major boost in the battle between HD-DVD and Blu-ray. The article further alleges that Taiwanese based game developers have applauded the reasoning behind Microsoft's thinking, suggesting that the pre-installation of a Blu-ray drive could decrease the market competitiveness of the PlayStation3. | ||
