Microsoft Adds Database Software To Visual Studio | |

Microsoft is adding a new edition to its Visual Studio development tool line, introducing a version tailored for database developers. The new Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals is scheduled for a preview release next month at Microsoft's TechEd show, to be followed by general availability toward the end of the year. "If you look at the application life cycle, there has been a disconnect for quite a while between the application development side and the database people," said Matt Nunn, a senior product manager for Microsoft's developer division. "This will hopefully bridge the gap between the two teams." | ||
