The Street posted a scathing editorial bashing Microsoft's attempt to break into the Japanese market with the Xbox 360 (it's a subscriber site, so no article linkie). In it, they compare the 360 to the Dreamcast and state that tabletop consoles need to sell some 25 to 40 million units to be successful. Without all three major markets supporting the console, it's a very difficult feat. The article goes on to say that the Xbox and GameCube were "Platinum turkeys."
