Vista may have been the most challenging version of Windows to get to market. Delays and feature cuts along the way hurt morale, as more nimble rivals brought other tech innovations to market (see BW, 9/26/06, "Troubling Exits At Microsoft"). Now, with the finish line in sight, Microsoft is preparing for a massive launch. At the Consumer Electronics Show, Chairman Bill Gates made Vista the centerpiece of his annual speech.
