The same day Apple Computer unveiled its first Intel-powered Mac, it updated the Macintosh operating system for both clients and servers.
On Tuesday, Apple released Mac OS X 10.4.4, the edition that runs the new Intel iMacs and when it releases next month, will power the MacBook Pro notebook line as well.
The Mac OS X 10.4.4 client update includes improvements to Apple's Safari Web browser, adds a number of new widgets -- including one for Google searches -- adds features to iChat, and resolves problems in .Mac synchronization sessions.
