If you've read my recent review (updated in consequence) on the Yamaha CRW2100E CD recorder, you've certainly learnt that some major burning software have troubles extracting digital audio at the high speed of 40x. To bypass this problem and before Adaptec and others release patches, Yamaha has recently unveiled a small utility named 'Fast Audio Rip' made by Ahead software to extract digital audio from CDs at the maximum speed permited by the CD-Recorder, that is to say 40x. This software is naturally free of charge and only reserved to CRW2100 owners. You can download it here after you have filled in the survey (4.13Mb).
