ATI Technologies introduced new 64-bit graphics drivers for speeding up the performance of the beta 1 release of Microsoft’s long-awaited Windows Vista operating system, on Thursday, only a day after Microsoft released the beta software to 10,000 testers. With its new Catalyst drivers, the Canadian company is one of the first graphics card makers to provide a 64-bit driver that supports Microsoft’s new graphics driver standard known as the Longhorn Driver Display Model.
