Microsoft sets pricing for new backup software | |

Microsoft on Friday released pricing information for its System Center Data Protection Manager product, the company's first foray into disk-based backup software. The company, which made the announcement at its Worldwide Partner Conference, also revealed that it will release DPM to manufacturing within the next 30 days, and it should be widely available by the beginning of October. Customers could have the product earlier, depending on the channel through which they purchase it, according to Microsoft group product manager Ben Matheson. | ||
