The Wall Street Transcript has published an in-depth (4,000 words) interview with Miguel Iribarren, Research Analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities, in which he examines the outlook for the sector and shares specific stock recommendations. TWST: How has the video games or interactive entertainment universe greeted the Microsoft Xbox and the new Nintendo platforms? Mr. Iribarren: Support has been very good for both systems. Neither system sold quite as well as the Sony PlayStation 2 last year, but, given that we had two systems come out essentially at the same time, I think sales have been very good for these consoles. Pre-orders for both systems were very high and that didn't leave many unclaimed units for the retailers. Although you can still find both systems in a few stores here and there, we expect the first shipments to be gone within the launch week. | ||
