Analyst: Sony to Lose 1 Billion on the PlayStation 3 | |

According to a report issued by Merrill Lynch of Japan, Sony could lose as much as $1.18 billion on the PlayStation 3 in the first year on the market, potentially selling the game console at almost a $100 loss per unit. The report claims the console is expected to sell for $399, each one costing Sony $491 to manufacture. | ||
