'What we're trying to do is provide visualisation,' says Microsoft's Jim Allchin Microsoft has offered an early peek at Longhorn's file navigation and search capabilities -- and fired a shot across the bow of the emerging desktop search tool vendors. Microsoft VP Jim Allchin said the embedded search technology in the new version of Windows is aimed squarely at products such as X1 Technologies' search technology -- and others. "This goes beyond search. What we're trying to do is provide visualisation," he says. | ||
