During a visit to Tecmo's Japanese head office the Official UK Xbox Magazine learnt that Team Ninja has begun initial development on a sports title, following completion of the stunning beat-'em-up Dead or Alive 3.
Speaking to the Official UK Xbox Magazine, Team Ninja's General Manager Tomonobu Itagaki said, "Now that we have finished work on Dead or Alive 3, we have started work on a new sports game."
No further details were revealed, but soccer and tennis games were rumoured to be possible subjects for the new Xbox title. More when we get it.
While speaking with Itagaki, he also reiterated that Dead or Alive 3 will not be released for PlayStation 2 due to Sony's hardware not being up to the challenge of making the game look nearly as good as the Xbox version.
