Hundreds of area computer enthusiasts will be on hand to celebrate Microsoft's Windows XP Launch Event at the Charles W. Loosemore Auditorium at Grand Valley State University's Pew Campus in downtown Grand Rapids Wednesday, November 14, 2001. On site registration for the event begins at 8 a.m., with programming running from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event is open to the public, and geared toward information technology professionals, business executives and developers. The event will offer the public an in-depth look at Microsoft's recently released Windows XP operating system, promised to be the most significant upgrade since Windows 95. The launch will feature information sessions, product demonstrations, and an exhibitor pavilion of Microsoft partners. Partners who will be showcasing their businesses and products as they relate to the computer industry and the XP launch include Sequoia.Net , New Horizons, ASAP and many others.
