American Conservative Union (ACU) Chairman David Keene today applauded the State Attorneys General of Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin -- who have accepted the proposed settlement between the U.S. Department of Justice and the Seattle-based software manufacturer Microsoft Corp. "ACU is pleased to see this advancing and encouraging movement in what has always been an unfair competitor-driven antitrust lawsuit," said Keene. "The State Attorneys General who have taken the appropriate time to review the case against Microsoft -- and analyze the settlement -- understand that this unfortunate case has taken years to litigate and has recklessly squandered taxpayers' funds and resources.
