Securing the IT Environment at Microsoft Detailed discussion of the strategy that Microsoft IT developed to ensure that all computers connected to the corporate network comply with a minimum level of security updates and secure configurations. Microsoft IT found that the single biggest improvement to security from implementing the security compliance management strategy came from developing a sustained, repeatable process for managing vulnerabilities. By having a predefined process, Microsoft IT was able to move from a reactive state of continually dealing with small emergencies to a proactive state of mitigating vulnerabilities as part of a day-to-day process. | ||
