Project K-X is a game based on a project organized by top Japanese creators
whose intention was to assess the potential of Xbox leveraging techniques and
methods of expression explored in the project, the game title Kakuto-Chojin
was conceived as the next evolutionary step. Directed by the fighting game
specialist Seiichi Ishii, Kakuto-Chojin aims to set a new standard for
fighting games. For example, if a players arm receives a blow, the muscles in
the arm become injured and the players ability to attack is weakened.
Features:
- Self shadow : shadows of the fighters bodies are
projected on themselves
- Projection map: colors of lights, shadows of objects
that lights go through
- Motion blur: blur occurs depending on the speed of
physical movements
- New movements: Programmatically generates different
movements such as crumbling, stumbling and falling when fighters receive
different attacks.
- New environmental expressions: heavy rains, wet floors,
sunlight with lens flair
- With these expressions rendered in real-time,
Kakuto-Chojin will open up a new horizon for fighting games.
