Microsoft Corp. today commended the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice and U.S. Postal Inspection Service for bringing the first joint criminal and civil action against a group of alleged spammers.
"The FTC, Justice Department and Postal Inspection Service have shown a tireless commitment to helping protect consumers from the scourge of spam," said Nancy Anderson, deputy general counsel for Microsoft. "We congratulate them on this milestone, a testament to the success that can come from a united front against spammers.
