Microsoft Corp. on Wednesday said it would roll out a number of new features, like the ability to leave voice messages, for its Xbox Live online video game service and also release a new three-month Live subscription plan.
Microsoft said that after a period of downtime of up to 24 hours that started Wednesday morning, players would be able to take advantages of features like voice messaging when sending other people invitations to play games.
The upgrades will also enable services, once game publishers build them into new games, like team-building, custom competitions and sharing of custom-designed game content among players.
