Microsoft's Mac Business Unit has posted a short note on the WMP for OS X (Windows Media Player) homepage stating that version 9.0 for the Mac is "coming soon." Here's a quote: "Coming Soon! Windows Media Player 9 Series for Mac OS X will deliver compatibility with 9 Series audio and video content." Needless to say, the company does not plan to release a Classic version, which shall forever remain frozen at v7.1. The currently available version of WMP for X is likewise stunted -- v7.1 | ||
