Big Blue's eServer 325, which uses the Opteron microprocessor, has made its appearance on IBM's site, with support for the 2GHz 246 chip introduced formally today.
The machine has a 1U chassis and can support a dual Opteron configuration, with memory of up to 1GB standard or 12GB ECC.
The machine also supports Openbay Ultra320 SCSI drives and IDE hard drives, and includes two 64-bit PCI-X slots.
