Lindows.com on Thursday released a version of its Linux operating system that runs directly from a CD.
The new LindowsCD--a stripped-down version of the San Diego, Ca.-based company's Lindows 4.0 OS--targets users who want to try out Linux but don't want to go through the hassle of actually installing the operating system, partition a hard drive to add another OS, or remove the existing operating system.
The $29.95 LindowsCD is available only from online seller TigerDirect.
