Workplace Messaging, along with Oracle's Collaboration Suite, represent two credible assaults on Microsoft Exchange Server accounts at the low end, industry observers have said. The Lotus product primarily targets workers on factory floors or elsewhere who might not have dedicated PCs but need e-mail access from shared kiosks or terminals.
