Microsoft Denies Xbox Health Scare | |

Microsoft has officially denied reports suggesting the company planned to move manufacturing of the Xbox console to Mexico due to fears regarding the SARS illness in China. Speculative reports suggesting the move emerged earlier this week online and later in several Asian publications. In response, both Microsoft and its manufacturing partner Flextronics issued statements today reaffirming their support for production at their Guangdong, China based facility. Microsoft relocated manufacturing of the console from plants in Hungary to China last year in order to take advantage of lower production costs. | ||
