Dear ActiveWin: I want to notify you about Microsofts name change of MapPoint .NET to MapPoint Web Service. This change is to better reflect our Web service offerings for location enabled mobile applications and services, Web sites, and enterprise applications. This change supports Microsofts overall effort to clarify the naming and branding strategy around .NET. As support for Web services becomes intrinsic across our entire product line, we are moving toward a consistent naming and branding strategy to better enable partners to affiliate with this strategy and customers to identify .NET enabled products. As you may know, all Microsoft products will adopt the new branding convention for .NET to reflect the version number in the proper names of products, and include the use of .NET Connected branding. | ||
