At a press conference held in Las Vegas today, Microsoft took the wraps off the "Xbox Value," a redesigned Xbox system that takes up most of an average-sized room.
Originally launched in 2001, the Xbox was praised for its impressive library of original titles but panned for its excessively large controller and console. "The problem wasn't that it was large," Microsoft vice-president Randall Beers said at the conference. "The problem was that it wasn't large enough, and gamers didn't understand that the system was truly the next generation of video games. With this new 'super-size,' however, I think we'll get some really kick-ass support now."
