Despite a sales decline in the first week of March, overall processor demand for the first quarter in fact appears strong, local distributors indicated. The market expects that Intel’s planned May price cut on several high-end products could boost buying sentiment.
According to the distributors, processor sales for the first quarter have been relatively strong, given the continuing demand for low-price motherboards, pre-holiday orders in January before Chinese New Year and Intel’s price cuts on February 23.
