Nvidia Corp.'s shares were up 22 percent today after the company announced late Thursday that its Microsoft Corp. Xbox deal had added more than $40 million to its fiscal Q4 revenue.
Nvidia and Microsoft had announced last week that their dispute over the pricing of Xbox GPU and MCP chipsets was over. As a result of the settlement Nvidia recognized $40.4 million in additional revenue in the quarter ended Jan. 26. Of the total, revenues associated with unit sales in Q4 were $4.8 million and revenues associated with unit sales in prior quarters were $35.6 million.
