Gates Sr., the 77-year-old father of Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. The elder Gates, a retired Seattle attorney who helps run the charitable foundation started with his son's fortune, is leading an unlikely nationwide campaign to defend the federal estate tax that President Bush and others want to abolish. | ||
